Soap It Up (UK) believes that where possible all ingredients and packaging should come from environmentally sustainable sources. Throughout 2010 our aim is to ensure this happens throughout our whole product range.

Our new range of handmade soaps from the “Thistle Soap Company” are the 1^st of our lines to be made from environmentally sustainable ingredients, more information about these soaps are listed below.

Shea Butter

All the shea butter that is used in our handmade “Thistle Soaps” is unrefined and wild grown; the shea butter is also produced by women’s co-operative in Ghana.

Palm Oil

The “Thistle Soaps” that contain palm oil, are made using organic palm from sustainable sources – the current batch is from Columbia and is certified as organic by The Soil Association.

Olive Oil

All the olive oil used is Spanish extra virgin olive oil and comes from an importer who prides herself on the quality of her oils, all of which are of course fully traceable.

Essential Oils

The Soap makers who make these delicious “Thistle Soaps” have expert knowledge of aromatherapy, and are able to ensure that these essential oils are of good quality and fully traceable.
